On the December 3rd, 1936, the Diário de São Paulo newspaper published an article on de Fiori, which reports Menotti Del Picchia posing for the artist. As soon as he arrived in Brazil, de Fiori actually made portraits of some local personalities among which were two heads, of the Count and Countess Matarazzo, as well as a plaster model of Menotti Del Picchia which the artist exhibited that same year in a gallery in São Paulo.
