<p>Este livro é o primeiro dedicado à obra de Joseca Yanomami (Terra Indígena Yanomami, Amazônia brasileira, 1971), e acompanha sua primeira exposição individual, realizada no Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand. A publicação reproduz 93 desenhos do artista, pertencentes ao acervo do museu, representando personagens, cenas e paisagens do universo yanomami, tanto da vida cotidiana quanto ligados a cantos e mitos xamânicos. A maior parte dos desenhos é acompanhada de títulos-descrições explicativos escritos pelo artista, constituindo um conjunto verdadeiramente extraordinário e um testemunho eloquente e singular da luta cotidiana dos yanomami em defesa da floresta.
