By Anna Carboncini
In this work the artist defines the portrait with pure and essential lines. The light glides over the planes virtually unobstructed. The stylization of the figure brings to mind the style of Wildt, but is, however, devoid of his dramatic effects. The only marked contrast in the prevailing serenity is the twisting of the torso, which stresses the elongated contours.
