Although the buildings on the background are not identifi- able, the painting seems to be a Near the Seine, in the vicinity of Paris. Conceived as a serene horizontal composition, the work takes advantage of the empathic experience of the moment and, particularly, of the scheme of luminous reflections that springs naturally from the Impressionist lesson.
